We have different types of appointments which are allocated as follows:

Pre-bookable Appointments

Generally, these can be pre-booked up to 4 weeks in advance by telephoning or visiting the surgery (or online if you have an account with us).

Open Surgery Appointments

There is one surgery each morning dedicated to 'on the day' appointments.  Patients need to telephone at 8am on that morning to be given a time to come to the surgery for their appointment.

Urgent Appointments

These are allocated in the mornings from 8am (to be seen that morning), and the evening urgent appointments are released at 1pm (to be seen that evening).

Monday - Friday: 8.30 am - 11.30 am and 4.30 pm - 5.50 pm
(on certain days appointments start at 8.00 am)
Tuesday: 1.00 pm - 3.00 pm

Patients can request the doctor of their preference, but the majority of our doctors work part time and patients are asked to note this.

Any patients requesting an urgent consultation will be seen that day after booked appointments or possibly earlier by the doctor on call for home visits.

The telephone is less busy in the afternoon.

If you are unable to keep an appointment you have booked, please telephone the surgery to cancel or change it, so that the appointment can be used by someone else.  Our receptionists will be only too happy to re-arrange to a time to suit you.
